Parents on the School’s Compound
The Principal and staff encourage partnerships with our parents and work hard to maintain mutual respect and recognition of shared responsibility for the children.
However, in a very small minority of cases, the behaviour of a few parents have caused disruption arising from abusive or aggressive behaviour towards staff and/ or students.
This will not be tolerated. All members of the school community have a right to expect that their school is a safe place.
As such, we are asking parents to drop off their child/ children and not assemble on the school’s compound.
Parents who are desirous of meeting with a teacher may enter such request in the PTC Book / or call the teacher and make an appointment.
Visits to classes must be done after checking in with the office or with the person in charge that day.
Parents/ visitors must obtain a pass before visiting any class.
Parents are expected to provide I.D. when taking a child early from school.
Problems involving students are to be discussed with a staff member first.
If the parent’s behaviour is unreasonable, permission for him/ her to be on the school’s premises may be withdrawn and such parent will be deemed a trespasser.
Students are permitted to bring cell phones without cameras to school under the following conditions:
General Guidelines For Parents to Follow
As you are aware we are living in an era where we have no choice but to take certain precautions to safeguard the students who are placed under our care.
As such we have formulated the following plans which will become effective.
1. Parents who are walking in with their children should use the small gate at all times.
2. Parents must know the name of your child’s teacher and the class to be permitted to see them.
3. Parents with vehicles will only be allowed to enter the school’s compound to pick up their children when it is raining heavily. Driving limit for entering the school’s compound must be 5 K.P.H.
4. Parents who are desirous of purchasing items in the canteen must inform the security or person in charge before proceeding to the canteen during school time.
5. For you and your child’s safety, parents you are kindly asked to submit names of drivers and vehicular numbers that pick up your children to the class teacher.
6. Parents who wish to visit during school hours will be asked to produce I.D and sign the visitor’s book.
7. Parents/visitors must obtain a pass before entering class during school time (8:30a.m.– 2:15p.m./2:45p.m.)
8. Parents who are desirous of taking their children during school time must produce ID and sign out.
Promoting Healthy Choices
We are asking parents to partner with us in making healthy choices for our students. Every Wednesday will be our Fruit Day. Kindly provide your child/ children with a fruit as a snack on Wednesdays to be part of this Health Promotion Drive.
It has come to our attention that some parents are not observing our dress code. The dress code is as follows:
Spaghetti Strap Tops
Cold Shoulder Tops
Parents/ Drivers are reminded that they are not allowed to enter the classrooms unless permission is granted by the principal or the teacher in charge.
Please make an effort to comply with these school policies so as to ensure the smooth and effective running of the school
In an effort to raise our achievement level and motivate our students, the school has changed its promotion policy. It was decided that in order for the students to be promoted at the end of the school’s year to the next class, your child should have an average of 60 % and over. That is (Term 1% +Term 2% + Term 3%).
